Stated position 10 of 10

Elections and the franchise

The final headline objective concerns who can vote and how. Its central factual premise — that postal voting has made elections vulnerable to fraud — can be set against the Electoral Commission's published casework data, linked below.

Attribution matters: this page summarises the Restore Britain policy paper titled “Safeguard Election Integrity”, dated 13 February 2026. The headline wording and framing are the party’s own; the summary below reports the published position and does not ask the reader to accept its diagnosis, evidence or remedy without checking the sources.

  • Abolish on-demand postal voting, reserving postal ballots for people the paper describes as in genuine, proven need — the housebound or those abroad on official business.
  • Require individually verified, security-checked applications for the postal votes that remain, with proxy voting only under strict regulation.
  • Launch a full review into past electoral irregularities, with prosecutions where wrongdoing is found.
  • Deport foreign or dual nationals convicted of electoral offences.
  • Bar all foreign nationals from voting or standing in any British election at any level.

End Political Islam and Other Forms of Ethnoreligious Bloc Voting.

Too many parties complain about the inevitable electoral consequences of the fragmented demographics caused by mass migration, but lack the courage to do anything about it.

If we gain power, we will address this festering problem once and for all.

Postal voting will be abolished, save for those in genuine, proven need.

A full review into past irregularities would be launched, together with prosecutions for any historic wrongdoing. If a foreign or dual national is found guilty, they will be deported.

No foreign national would ever be permitted to vote or stand in a British election, be it local, regional, or national.

We commit to restoring British elections for British people.

Abolish Mass Postal Voting.

Postal voting on demand has made our elections vulnerable to fraud, coercion, and manipulation. Voting should be a serious act, done in person, at a polling station, with full supervision.

Postal votes must be reserved for those who are genuinely housebound or abroad for official reasons (e.g. military or diplomatic service). These must be individually verified, security-checked applications. Proxy voting may be allowed under strict regulation.

Launch a full review into previous allegations of postal vote fraud, particularly in areas with repeated irregularities. Those found to have manipulated ballots, intimidated voters, or exploited vulnerable communities will face criminal prosecution/deportation if foreign.

The British public must have confidence that elections are free, fair, and secure. That starts with ending the system most open to abuse. Restore trust by abolishing mass postal voting.

The stated diagnosis

The problem as the party frames it.

The paper argues that postal voting on demand has left elections “vulnerable to fraud, coercion, and manipulation”, and frames bloc voting linked to migration as a problem other parties will not address.

The Electoral Commission publishes annual data on every alleged electoral fraud case and its outcome, which is the direct test of the scale claimed.

How to test this position

  1. 1
    Check the fraud data

How many convictions and cautions for electoral fraud does the Electoral Commission record per election cycle, and how does that compare with the scale the paper implies?

  2. 2
    Read the franchise law

Commonwealth and Irish citizens currently hold voting rights under the Representation of the People Acts. Which statutes would the proposed bar amend?

  3. 3
    Weigh the trade-off

Roughly a fifth of votes at recent general elections were cast by post. What would restricting them mean for turnout among elderly and disabled voters?

  4. 4
    Track the record

Compare with Mr Lowe's Commons votes on elections legislation.
