A short, plain-English account of what this site does, what it does not do, and how its political content is sourced.
This is not an official political website
The Lowe Record is an independent reference project. It is not operated by Rupert Lowe, the House of Commons, Restore Britain or another political party. A link is not an endorsement, and a summary of a position does not mean that the site accepts its assumptions or conclusions.
Primary records come first
Current offices, election results, votes, questions, speeches and financial interests link to UK Parliament. European parliamentary service links to the European Parliament. Party positions link to the party’s own published material and are labelled as stated positions.
Podcast entries link to the original publisher or major listening platform. Sensitive crime and safeguarding figures link to official statistics, audits or inquiry reports.
Political information changes
Pages show a review date because roles, affiliations, policies and records can change. If a living source conflicts with this site, prefer the source. Corrections should identify the page, disputed wording and supporting evidence.
No accounts, forms or analytics
This version of the site does not offer user accounts, accept form submissions, set advertising cookies or run analytics. The web host may still create standard server logs containing an IP address, request time, requested path and browser information for security and operations.
What the browser may request
Every page is served entirely from this site: styles, scripts, the icon font and the official parliamentary portrait (reproduced under CC BY 3.0) are all hosted here, so simply loading a page makes no request to any third party. Following an external episode or source link takes you to that provider, where its own privacy and cookie policy applies. Episodes are linked rather than embedded to avoid loading podcast trackers on this site.
